 Bangkok is changing, some say for the better, and others say for the worse. Is Thailand's largest city losing its character? Is all this modernisation simply papering over the cracks? Is it right that history and heritage often get swept aside to make way for new developments? How many new shopping centres do we need? Bangkok Pat visits a few locations in the city to highlight a few examples.
