Never have been more people homeless in Pattaya than before. Pattaya looks like a disaster zone in some areas. However, there is also hope, some say Pattaya and Thailand might start opening up for tourists as early as October 2021.

Pattaya has changed a lot since the pandemic started. Some areas look completely abandoned, most shops have closed. Poverty is visible everywhere. Many rely on food handouts and donations.

Pattaya is still at the breaking point. It seems more and more people getting homeless every day, as the lockdown drags on. When will tourists to Thailand return? I believe not until Thailand does not make it easier for tourists to arrive it will take some time.

Today is a look at the Homeless Crisis on Pattaya's Beach road. I started at the now deserted walking street and headed up beach road. It is sad to see this side of Pattaya in 2021. Some people will never recover from the impacts of the Global Pandemic.
