 Drivers battled through flash floods after heavy rain this afternoon in Pattaya, eastern Thailand.

Motorists were left stranded in the water which was up to 4ft deep in parts of the popular tourist destinations.

One holidaymaker had to be helped after getting caught in the torrent while riding a motorcycle with a friend on the back.

The country has been hit with severe flooding this month after two tropical storms during the peak of the monsoon rainy season in Southeast Asia.
