Roadshows were conducted to boost tourism by informing the visitors and travelers of the safety in traveling to these major tourist cities.
PATTAYA – September 10, 2013 [PDN]; at 11 pm at Wachirabenchatat garden (Railway Park, Bangkok) Police Chief Major General Roi Engkapairoj along with the Director General of the Department of Tourism presided over the opening of Thailand Tourist Roadshow.
This roadshow is targeted to 4 major tourist cities that are Ayutthaya, Phuket, Pattaya, Hua Hin .
Police Chief Major General Roi Engkapairoj said the project aims to promote the image by boosting the overall confidence of the tourism industry in Thailand. This is to ensure that the tourists feels save to travel to Thailand by having a mobile tourist police to service them. The roadshow was held by having ‘public relation mobile police travel around the tourist areas to ensure the safety and peace of mind of travelers 24 hours at four major tourist cities.
The police public relation mobile vehicles is divided into categories
1. a versatile vehicle like a motor home, a total of four vehicles which consists of kitchen facilities , shower seat , adjustable bed ,LCD TV 40-inch office ,copier , fax, and video surveillance systems around the vehicle.
2. one trailer vehicle it consists of a fully equipped facilities for tourists, 60- inch LCD, sound system equipment and Wi-Fi.
