The Criminal Court on Wednesday sentenced four policemen to death on drug trafficking charges.
They are Pol Sgt-Maj Suthat Saipanya, Pol Sgt-Maj Tawan Kosutho and Pol Senior Sgt-Maj Viroj Moonprao of Border Patrol Police Unit 33 in Mae Rim district, and Pol Senior Sgt-Maj Phumpipat Thamsuhiran of Doi Sa Ket police station, in Chiang Mai province.
The four were arrested by a narcotics suppression police in a sting operation at a petrol station in tambon Khlong Chik of Bang Pa-in district of Ayutthaya province on Sept 22, 2007.
They were seized while selling 150,000 methamphetamine pills for 11.25 million baht to undercover police.
The court found them guilty of having methamphetamine pills on their possession with intent to sell and sentenced them to death. http://www.bangko...h-sentence
