The Epidemic of BAD Foreigners in Thailand (getting WORSE) ! 🇹🇭
15. jun. 2026
Thailand makes entry rules stricter even though the country needs more tourists!
Millions of visitors will need to follow new rules and one group of visitors will be affected the most.
While many people are still talking about visas, Thailand is already building a digital system that could bring control over foreigners to a completely new level.
Thailand is facing a historic change of direction.
While visitor numbers are below expectations, the government is surprisingly making entry rules stricter. The previous generous 60-day visa-free stay is now history!
In this video, we look at why Thailand is making this move right now, what role visa abuse, illegal businesses, and stricter checks play, and why many Thai people actually welcome this change.
We also talk about the new THIM app, which is set to launch in August. Passport details, accommodation, travel purpose, and lots of other information will be collected digitally in the future. The authorities say this is about safety and smoother processes critics say it's about more surveillance and control.
Especially interesting: one of the most important visitor groups for Thailand is losing many of its benefits. The effects could be especially noticeable in Pattaya, Bangkok, and other tourist hotspots.

An Australian tourist was arrested in Thailand after the body of a teenage girl was found inside a suitcase near railway tracks in Pattaya.
The victim, 17-year-old Tunchanok Donhomla, also known as Nong Cake, was last seen entering a condominium with Simon Peter Carman in the early morning hours. Surveillance footage later showed the suspect leaving the building with a large black suitcase, riding away on a motorcycle, and allegedly trying to flee Thailand on a flight to Perth, Australia.
This true crime documentary examines the Pattaya suitcase murder case, the CCTV trail, the suspect’s self-defense claim, the airport arrest at Suvarnabhumi, and the unanswered questions surrounding the death of a young local girl in one of Thailand’s most famous nightlife cities.
This case reveals a darker side of Pattaya — where tourism, nightlife, vulnerability, and violence collided in a tragedy that shocked both Thailand and Australia.
