Safari World Bangkok is located North of the city. A 40 minutes taxi ride from Asok BTS Station. We enjoyed the Giraffe Feeding and shows.

Wat Mahabutr, home to Mae Nak Phra Khanong's shrine

Wat Mahabutr, built during the late Ayutthaya period, is widely known as Wat Mae Nak Phra Khanong, housing the shrine of Mae Nak, one of the country’s most infamous ghosts.

Concerning the problem of fine particulate matter smaller than 2.5 microns (PM2.5), Bangkok was recently ranked among the worst cities for air quality according to Swiss-based IQAir. The number of patients with pollution-associated diseases has been reported to be high each year, with people risking their health just by breathing outside their homes.

Some protocols have been implemented by government agencies to address the issue. However, this still leaves the question: When will the situation in Bangkok, which translates to the 'city of angels' improve?

Bangkok's Chinatown celebrates Year of Snake

The Yaowarat Road in Bangkok's Chinatown is now lit up with decorative lights, celebrating the 2025 Lunar New Year, the Year of the Snake.

The celebration marks the 50th anniversary of cultural cooperation between the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and China. The themed decorations will last until Feb 9, 2025.

The snake, which matches up with the years of people born in 1941, 1953, 1965, 1977, 1989, 2001, 2013 and 2025, is most commonly associated with intelligence, resilience and love, Lee said. And people born in those years are thought to do “whatever it takes to accomplish a goal.”

Museum Pier, a new art destination in Bangkok, is now featuring the exhibition "200 Years Journey through Thai Modern Art History," displaying artworks by artists from different eras.

The works are collected by an art-collecting couple who established the museum with the intention of preserving and passing on the story of Thai art to future generations. The exhibition will run until June 30, 2025.
