Durian is a divisive fruit. Some people love its creamy, custardy flavor, while others find its smell to be overpowering and even offensive. But there's no denying that durian is a popular fruit in Thailand, and Ailada is using it to create desserts that are both delicious and visually appealing.

In this video, Ailada shows us how she makes her durian cakes, pastries, and other treats. She uses fresh, high-quality durian in her products, and she takes care to balance the sweetness of the fruit with other flavors. Her cakes are moist and fluffy, and they have a rich, decadent flavor that durian lovers will appreciate.

Ailada's durian desserts are not for everyone, but they are definitely worth trying if you're a fan of the fruit. They're a unique and delicious way to experience durian, and they're sure to please even the most discerning palate.

During King Rama IV's reign, Phetchaburi thrived with toddy palm farming. The province's fertile soil and minerals enriched its sugar's distinct taste. Though unintended, toddy palm cultivation led to a curriculum teaching local production. However, the occupation is labour-intensive, risky, and declining. Genuine Phetchaburi sugar is now a prized commodity.

The Chocolate Factory cafe is a great place to visit if you're looking for something sweet and unique. The chocolate high heels are definitely a highlight, but the restaurant also offers other desserts, savory dishes, and even coffee.

This video shows how the chocolate high heels are made at the popular restaurant in the upmarket Pratumnak area. A worker first pours melted chocolate over the countertop and spreads it around using a chocolate spatula.

After a few minutes of mixing, she then prepares the shoe mold heating it up and wiping it down before filling it with the liquid chocolate. She taps out the excess to form a shoe-shaped shell and leaves the chocolate pumps out to dry upside down.

Once the mixture sets, she removes the mold carefully and places the finished chocolate high heels in a box to be sold at their store.

Thailandsk forskning fastslår at gurkemeje hjælper på fordøjelsesbesvær

Nam Ngiaw Mor Din Pa Aeed - Immediately after landing in Chiang Rai, we got the rental car and drove straight to Nam Ngiaw Mor Din Pa Aeed to eat a bowl of nam ngiaw, a northern Thai dish including noodles and a tomato stew. It was as good as it always is. Something you don’t want to miss when you’re in Chiang Rai.

Pha Hee Coffee - The main destination was about an hour drive from Chiang Rai into the mountains to meet Pa Luang Aran, the head of the local Akha community. Spell it as you want- Pad Krapao, Pad Kha Prow, Phat Kra Phrao. But cooking it- that's a different story. Pad Krapao is a miraculous dish- something simple yet perfectly balanced, a fine-tuned creation that must be made with every component aligned in harmony...and as it's the single most popular dish in Thailand, it's a test every chef must pass before earning a place in Bangkok's culinary scene.

In this video, we set out to uncover the origins of the dish, the genesis of the category that brought it to creation, and to find the very best versions on Bangkok's busy streets. It's a quest that brings us from humble lunch counters to Michelin restaurants, and from Mark Wiens' fiery lair to the great Chef Gaa's stall at Khlong Toei. And eventually, it brings us to our old friends in the Khlong Toei slum, who join us to taste test the very best Pad Krapao the city has to offer.

Bangkok's $75 Signature Luxurious Buffet | Giant River Prawns, Lobsters, King Crab

The continuing adventure in Asia, brings me to Thailand and I got to explore all the great food from the humber Pad Thai to an amazing buffet, probably the best in Bangkok. I was joined my be good friend Red as we explored the eateries and food of Bangkok, including Thipsimai where the iconic Pad Thai originated and the luxurious Goji where Bangkok's best Brunch Buffet is served.

With a massive grilling station serving up giant river prawns, bountiful and sweet rock lobsters, and my favorite, the King Crab, this buffet does rival and surpass those of Las Vegas and even most Asian countries. Along with the fresh seafood, there were abundant tradition Thai dishes made to order as well as modern dishes including Duck Confit Benedict, char roasted meats and all the buffet stations you can imagine!

Jay-Fai is the original street food queen! The chef is almost 80 years and has been cooking since she was a child.

She uses only the best ingredients… so her food is expensive but delicious. Jay-Fai’s crab omelette costs more than $30 but it has won her a Michelin Star!

Jay Fai's crab omelette is made with fresh crab meat, egg, chili peppers, and a secret blend of spices. It is cooked over a charcoal fire, which gives it a smoky flavor. The omelette is crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. It is served with a dipping sauce made with vinegar, sugar, and chili peppers.

Jay-Fai says she will keep cooking until she can no longer physically make her dishes. Her shop is a must-visit for tourists and locals alike. She is often full and there are long queues, so arrive early!
