The Songkran Festival 2016 Dates is nearly here and many holidaymakers are preparing to travel to Pattaya and Bangsaray to enjoy this popular Thai tradition which happens once every year which is celebrated In the middle regions of Thailand from the 13th to 15th of April but In Pattaya they have an extended period called "Wan-Lai" where the real action kicks In making these dates a must for water action. Songkran 2016 dates in Pattaya are 16, 17, 18 and 19

Songran road toll rises to 116 after two days
The first two days of the so-called seven dangerous Songkran holidays saw 116 people killed and 981 others injured in 907 road accidents nationwide, the Road Safety Centre announced Wednesday.
On the second day of the seven-day monitoring period for the long Songkran holidays, 520 road accidents happened, killing 64 people and injuring 550 other.
Most of the accidents were caused by drunk driving, the centre said.
