Erawan shrine reopened after grand ceremony
The restoration of the Erawan Shrine has been completed.
Thailand's Culture Minister Veera Rojpojanarat chaired a grand ceremony at the shrine at 7am on Friday.
Shrine dancers performed to celebrate its reopening.
It took nine days for the Fine Art Departments to finish the work.
The Lord Brahma statue was slightly damaged due to the deadly bomb blast in Bangkok that killed 20 people and left 120 injured.
The impact of the explosion caused damage to the shin, necklace and right index finger of the Brahma statue.
The Erawan Shrine is one of Bangkok's top tourist attractions.
