Two trains were involved in a minor collision at Hua Lamphong station on Thursday morning, resulting in the derailment of a stationary freight train. The freight train had been parked at a station platform for several days, awaiting repairs, the State Railway of Thailand said. At 6.35am, station staff approved the departure of another train from the platform, but the locomotive coupling disconnected and it rolled into the parked train.
