At least 13 explosions and attacks hit two deep southern provinces last night, resulting in one dead and many others injured.
Narathiwat’s Sungai Kolok disrict was rocked by five explosions which killed a woman; Sarika Mama and injured nine others. Insurgents also did two bomb attacks in Tak Bai district of Narathiwat and set fires on a market and schools in Sungai Padi district.
Meanwhile in Yala, attackers bombed two electricity poles in Yaha district, created disturbances in Bannang Sata district, set fires on tyres and electricity poles in Krong Pinang district. In Than Tho district of Yala, two bombs separately exploded.

Bombs cause fires at stores in South
NARATHIWAT – Two stores in Sungai Kolok municipality were set on fire by bomb explosions early Monday morning.
The first blaze broke out around 3am at Super Centre on Wong Pradit Road after an explosion was heard. The flames destroyed the store.
The second bome went off one hour later at Super CD store on Saritwong Road, causing a small fire and minor damage.

Two bomb attacks hit and damaged railways
Narathiwat - Two bomb blasts have hit and damaged railway bridges in Ra-ngae and Joh I Rong districts of this border province early Wednesday, temporarily halting rail services.
After the blast at a railway bridge in Bukit subdistrict of Cho-airong district, local police rushed to the scene.
An initial investigation found that the homemade bomb was built in a gas cylinder weighed about 20kg. The powerful explosion damaged the railway bridge pier.
Meanwhile, a bomb explosion in Tanyongmat subdistrict of Ra-ngae district destroyed the railway bridge pier and some parts of the bridge. Fragments of a 50kg bomb built into a gas cylinder were found scattered around the site.
Following the explosions, train services, both inbound and outbound to Su-ngai Kolok district, have been suspended. It was expected to take few days for repairs.
