This is the spectacular moment fireworks lit up the nighttime city as residents celebrated New Year 2021 in Bangkok, Thailand. Footage from a residential apartment looking towards the centre of the capital shows the impressive scene. Many locals set off fireworks in their own street parties in the narrow roads - with rockets whistling past balconies. Thailand is seven hours ahead of London and 12 hours in front of New York.
