Burglar found electrocuted

A man thought to be trying to steal car parts has been found dead after climbing over an electric fence to enter a property in Pathum Thani province.

Police said the man's body was found near the garage at a house in Lam Luk Ka district.

He was shirtless and wearing only a sarong. There were burn marks on his right arm and abdomen. He was later identified as Arche Phonak, 31, who lived in Lam Luk Ka district.

The homeowner, Suthep Ngao-dee, 48, told police he put up an electric fence some months ago after his property had been burgled several times and parts stolen from his pickup truck.

The police assume the deceased man was a burglar and was killed by the electric current while climbing the fence
