Two chickens tie the knot in traditional Thai ceremony
In a wedding that may have raised some eyebrows, two fighting chickens recently tied the knot in a traditional Thai ceremony in Ayutthaya.
The dowry included a whopping Bt5mil (US$145,000) in cash and gold necklaces for the “bride” while a famous singer of a Thai rock band also graced the event.
Over 50 round tables were prepared for guests.
The hen fighter is worth Bt20mil (US$580,000) and is considered one of the most expensive chicken fighters in the world.
Meanwhile, the fighting cock is worth some Bt15.4mil (US$446,000) and was deemed a proper suitor for the hen.
